Sofia Gurfinkel has been cultivating the talents of young musicians for decades. Since 1991 she has been a member of the faculty at the New England Conservatory. Originally trained at Moscow’s Gnessin Music Institute, Sofia’s teaching style instills students with a unique combination of musicality and creative expression along with discipline and focus. Sofia’s students regularly take top prizes at music competitions, and perform with symphonies throughout the Greater Boston area. Sofia is dedicated to developing the musical talents inside each student through the timeless instrument of the violin.
